Japan Resilience Summit
~Toward regional collaboration among 47 prefectures through mutual assistance and co-creation~

In order to prepare for natural disasters that are becoming more severe and frequent every year, this summit will bring together diverse stakeholders, including local leaders from Japan's 47 prefectures, researchers, youth, companies, and government officials, to form one team and share common challenges and cutting-edge information, thereby promoting mutual assistance, co-creation, and collaborative activities.
Furthermore, the project will contribute to the creation of new disaster preparedness and disaster prevention models and the creation of highly resilient societies and communities, as well as support the reconstruction of disaster-stricken areas and further advance disaster prevention technology in Japan, a manufacturing powerhouse, thereby contributing to economic and cultural development, including regional revitalization and job creation.
By working closely with the government and local authorities and undertaking activities led by the private sector, we will raise awareness among the private sector to take responsibility for building resilient communities as their own responsibility, rather than leaving it up to the government.
